Mō matou | About us

Wild Bamboo are the people behind Recordbase and Tūtohi.

Wild Bamboo is a software development company within the Wise Group, a family of charitable community-based organisations operating in the mental health and addiction sector. We proudly support an array of community organisations spanning the mental health and addiction, supported employment, child and youth, domestic violence, justice, wellbeing, and disability sectors.

Together we create positive change for people. We do this by delivering smart information and insights to strengthen our customers’ impact, helping them improve the well-being of our communities.

We work together to:

Make things happen for people
Make things easy for people
Make things better for people

We do this with:

Aroha – care and understanding for others
Manaaki – we act with integrity, and respect
Mahi tahi – we empower each other
Whakawhirinaki – we consistently strive to build trust with each other and the people we work alongside

At Wild Bamboo, it matters to us that our people come to work every day with curiosity, enthiusiasm and a sense of purpose. We understand that work is only one part of your life, and that making time for both your whānau and yourself is vital to leading a balanced life. We care about having happy, fulfilled people delivering brilliant work – not the nitpicky details of where or when you’re doing that work. Whether it’s working from home, having a flexible start or finish to the day, working flexible hours during the week, or something else entirely, we’re a pretty reasonable bunch!

We attract, retain and develop a world-class team who love what they do. Each person brings passion and commitment, along with their own quirky cleverness.

There are plenty of perks too:

  • 5 weeks annual leave
  • Subsidised school holiday childcare programmes
  • Subsidised EAP support services
  • Subsidised lunch cooked by an in-house chef three days a week
  • Discounts at Specsavers
  • Discounted plans with Southern Cross for medical insurance
  • Income protection insurance
